The Diers Frometric Scanner is has been utilized in Europe by Orthopedists that specialize in Scolisois care for over 14 years. The Technology is called Rastersterography. Accurate measurements are made of the topagraphy of the back. When changes in posture occur the Formetric can calculate these changes and a determination regarding progression can be made. The use of the Formetric reduces the number of x-rays taken by over 50%. Scoliosis Systems has been working with the Formetric in it's New York City office for over two months now. They will be providing the Formetric in most of their 12 offices by February 2009.
